A friend of mine gave me this GoldStar XT-4 PC a few months ago as of the date November 8, 2007. I have searched high and low for information concerning this machine, to no avail. I have also contacted the company L.G. Electronics, known as GoldStar many years ago. The company has the serial number on file concerning the GoldStar XT-4 PC, no information or support for the model exists in their database from what I was told concerning the computer.
GoldStar is a Korean based company that for the most part revolutionized Korea into the electronic age. The company has produced a good deal of electronic and other useful household appliances. Many of these items would be the following: Dishwashers, washers, dryers, personal computers, cell phones, etc. GoldStar, now known as L.G. Electronics continues to produce cell phones and other electronic and computer devices for many consumers.
From what I was told by the previous owner is that the computer was purchased on QVC, a televised home shopping network. The computer has a date on the back where the ports are, manufactured date of November, 1989. I assume that the computer was purchased sometime in 1990. After a time the computer was moved into the garage where it would sit for several years. Once I was given the computer, I then cleaned it up as best as I could. The GoldStar keyboard also had a good deal of sand in it, which I had taken apart and cleaned it up, now it's fully functional as it once was.
I was fortunate enough to receive a good deal of software, books, parts and other items that belonged to this computer. I will attempt to catalog these items as best as I can.
